The Basque Country #USVreact team has been busy in the last months participating in the ongoing process of re-defining the UPV/EHU protocol against gender-related violence. Answering the call by the Equality Office, a group of people representing unions, groups and other organisations as well as individuals from inside and outside of the university has been gathering since June in order to design the process to re-elaborate the protocol. We are very happy to be there and bring everything we have learn in the last one year and a half working on #USVreact, through reading, delivering training sessions to plus 100 people, delivering surveys to more than one thousand students in our campuses… In the next weeks, about 20 debate sessions will be held in different campuses and schools, with students and staff in order to reicive feedback that can help elaborate the new regulations and pathways: which types of gender-related violence are present in our university setting? Which ones remain invisible? What can we do in order to prevent and tackle gender-based violence? Which are the resources needed to do so? We hope this process helps deliver (as soon as it is ready) the most inclussive protocol we can achieve.
