Apparently sexual harassment of students by university staff has been hidden by non-disclosure agreements. Universities are operating in a more and more competitive marketplace and with non-disclosure agreements they can conceal episodes that could prejudice their business: “Universities that find themselves at the centre of sexual harassment allegations are accused of prioritising their own reputations… over their duty of care to vulnerable students.”
